This coffee table was a personal project that I built with my father over a long weekend because I was in need of new furniture. My father has been woodworking for years and is very knowledgeable about furniture construction. The project started with a CAD model that I designed and together we shaped the design into something that could be built with the tools and time available.
The coffee table is a simple frame construction, made from spalted ambrosia maple, locally sourced from Toledo, Ohio. The thick lumber was perfect for a simple modern frame. A 3d printed metal bottle opener was embedded in the corner of the wood.
